Dairy Crest Direct (DCD) was first launched to provide independent representation to dairy farmers in 2004, before achieving Dairy Producer Organisation (DPO) status in 2015. Independently financed by its farmer members, DCD is currently the only DPO in the UK.

Milk is processed by Saputo Dairy UK into leading brands sold through UK retailers and global outlets, plus demin whey powder ingredients for Infant Formula production.

DCD represents nearly 300 dairy farmers in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset, supplying over 500 million litres of milk to the Davidstow Creamery in north Cornwall.

DCD has an elected Board and Forum, made up of farmer representatives from across the Davidstow milk field. There are eight geographic Forum areas across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
